A generation of tall women has moved to the front of the frame, and several of them have used their stature as an asset rather than something to manage around. These nine women range from runway-to-screen crossovers to lifelong actors who simply never fit the mold, and all of them have made height part of their presence rather than an asterisk beside it.
1. Taylor Swift – 5’11”
Taylor Swift is one of the most recognizable people on the planet, and her height is part of the visual language fans associate with her.
At nearly six feet, she tends to tower over co-stars and award show companions alike. She has spoken openly about feeling awkward about her height as a teenager, which makes her current comfort with it feel earned. On stage during the Eras Tour, that verticality read as commanding rather than conspicuous.
2. Charlize Theron – 5’10”
Charlize Theron carries her height the way a lot of great actors carry everything: as though it was always part of the plan. She stood out long before she started collecting awards, and her physicality has been central to roles in “Monster,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” and the “Fast & Furious” franchise.
